The Bull City Golf Club - Durham, NC

The Bull City Golf Club/Youth Foundation Inc., wishes the best of luck to Ms. Joelle McAlpine. The daughter of Joe "Duke" and Jean McAlpine, Joelle hails from Hamden, Connecticut and is currently completing her junior year at Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia.

Joelle carries a 3.5 GPA with a major in Pre-Med. Her decision to attend this fine university was somewhat influenced by the offer of a 4 year full golf scholarship from the Department of Athletics at Hampton. She also serves as the team captain this year with an immediate goal of winning the MEAC conference championship.

She recently fired rounds of (74-74 = 148) to tie for first place in the Rutgers University Women's Invitational Tournament in Piscataway, New Jersey. This remarkable performance by Joelle also set a new school record for 18 and 36 holes totals.

Joelle has been an annual participant in our Bull City Open Golf Championship first capturing the women's flight championship title at the young age of 14. She has won this event six years consecutively. Upon satisfying her degree requirements at Hampton, Joelle will decide whether to pursue a professional golf career or immediately attend medical school. Again, the Bull City Golf Club/Youth Foundation Inc., wishes the best of luck and continued success to the McAlpine family. Please accept a sincere "Thank you" for your years of continued support to our Bull City Open Golf Championship.
